This Window is dedicated
(Inscription on a plaque near the window)
a. St Sativola or Sidwell, one of the patron saints of Laneast Church. She grasps the handle of a scythe, the instrument of her martyrdom, having been murdered by a haycutter at the instigation of her stepmother.
b. The Blessed Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus. Above are the words Sancta Maria and below a heart pierced by a sword, and two angels bearing a scroll on which is written Verbum Caro Factum est et Habitavit in Nobis.
c. St George, as the patron saint of England, on foot, clad in armour, with spear and shield emblazoned with the cross.
1a, 1c. On the scrolls at the bottom of the side lights are the words Te Deum Laudamus Te Dominum Confitemur.
Tracery. Above the three lights are represented the four archangels, St Michael, St Gabriel, St Raphael and St Uriel, all depicted with their several symbols, and above all a representation of the Dove of the Holy Spirit.
