The arms of Courtenay are first and fourth or, three torteaux, for Courtenay; second and third or a lion rampant azure for Redvers (i.e., facing the sinister direction, compared with the usual direction of a lion rampant, and with other occurrences of the Courtenay / Redvers arms, for example Lanteglos-by-Fowey, .
). These are the same as the arms of the Earl of Devon (not to be confused with the Earl of Devonshire). The Redvers lions rampant are reversed,Photograph CVMA inventory no 006527.
