S·Michael
To the Glory of God and in loving memory of Eldred Wilks Banfield, J.P. of Holy Vale, Church Warden of this Parish for 25 years, who died , aged 78 years this window was erected by his wife, Ellen Harvey Banfield, .
St Michael holds, in his left hand, scales weighing Good against Evil and, in his right hand, a sword. Above St Michael there is an angel holding a shield with a balance and a sword. This may be a reference to the fact that the dedicatee was a magistrate.
