They that go down to the sea in ships, these men see the works of the Lord (based on Psalms 107:23–24) .

a. The miraculous draft of fishes.

When they cry unto the Lord in their trouble he delivereth them out of their distress (based on Psalms 107:6) .

b. Christ saves Peter from drowning.

Then are they glad because they are at rest; so he bringeth them into the haven where they would (based on Psalms 107:30) .

c. Christ summons the fishermen, with the village of Gorran Haven in the background.
