To the honor & glory of God & for the adornment of His House. This window was dedicated by the late Henry Terrell, a native & life-long inhabitant of Tavistock. He died

2. The Ascension. In 2c Christ is shown ascending from the summit of Mount Olivet; his right hand is raised in benediction of the eleven apostlles who are grouped in various attitudes in the other four panels.

1b, 1c 1d. The Entombment. The dead body of Christ is being laid in the sepulchre by John the Evangelist, Joseph of Arimathaea and Nicodemus. On the left are the sorrowing women.
