1e. Starting with the top row, going from left to right:
- Robartes of Lanhydrock. Azure three estoiles and a chief wavy or (Lysons, Daniel, Lysons, Samuel, Magna Britannia vol 3, p , , London, T Cadell and W Davies, , )
- Unidentified.
- Roberts (possibly of Combe Martin, Devon). Azure on a chevron argent three mullets sable ( , refers to marriage of Thomas Westcott and Mary Roberts co-heir of Richard Roberts , ). Most of the azure has flaked off. The arms of Roberts impaled with Hender appear on the front door of Lanhydrock House
- Possibly Peverell of Cornwall. Azure three garbs or ( ).
- Hender of Botreaux Castle and Veriam. Azure a lion rampant within an orle of escallops or ( , ). Sir Richard Roberts of Truro married Frances, daugher and co-heir of John Hender of Botreaux Castle. Much of the azure has flaked off. The arms of Roberts impaled with Hender appear on the front door of Lanhydrock House
- Possibly de Cornwall. Ermine a lion rampant gules within a bordure sable bezantée ( ). David Hender married Margaret, daughter and co-heir of John de Cornwall ( ).
- Unidentified.
- Possibly Coryton. Argent a saltire sable ( , ).
- Robartes. As 1.
These arms are probably what are described at the bottom of
a shield of the Robartes arms, with seven or eight quarterings
and also
Gilbert, CS.
An Historical Survey of the County of Cornwall,
Vol
J Congdon, Plymouth Dock,
as p 816Robarts, with eight quarterings.
Similar arms are the wall of Lanhydrock House, the home of the Robartes family, and in the dedication of Joel Gascoyne’s map of Cornwall to Charles Bodville, Earl of Radnor, except that in the latter, the arms of Robartes in position 9 are replaced with what may be the arms of Robert Rich, 2nd Earl of Warwick, gules, a chevron between three crosses botonnée or ( ) whose daughter Lucy married John Roberts, 2nd Baron Truro ( ). In both of these the arms in position 7 are lozengy, or similar, which suggests that the representation in this window may be inaccurate.
