Instruments of the Passion on shields.

The upper shield contains the ladder used for the Deposition, the nails by which Jesus was fixed to the Cross and the hammer used to drive in the nails.

The lower shield contains Jesus’ seamless tunic and the dice with which the soldiers cast lots for the tunic.
