Gloria in excelsis Deo et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis (Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men) ( )
To the Glory of God and in pious memory of Charles Richard & Mary Ann Cheffins Erected Xmas 1912
In a is the Blessed Virgin Mary, with the Infant Jesus on her knee, at the mouth of the cave at Bethlehem. A little white lamb lies at her feet and behind stands Joseph and the “oxen.” A striking procession of shepherds and Magi wends its way towards the Holy Child. In b the foremost shepherd kneels in adoration. In the background the dawn, depicted in blue glass and suggestive of Christ as the Light of the World, is breaking over David’s city. In c Melchior, one of the Magi, kneels, offering his gift. In d stand the other two Magi, Caspar crowned and holding his gift, with Balthazar behind him.

Inscription running across the base of all four lights.
