St Sennen vested as a bishop, with a crozier in his left hand
and wearing a mitre. In his right hand he holds a book. Various
figures are shown on his elaborately decorated episcopal vestments, at least one having a nimbus.
The partially visible scene across his left shoulder appears
to be part of St Catherine’s wheel.

St Ia the Virgin, the patronal saint of the church, holding some lilies in her right hand, probably an
allusion to the Blessed Virgin Mary shown in the predella below.
The church has a matching pair of prayer desks, made by Violet Pinwill. On the
end of one is a carving of St Ia and, on the other, a carving of the Blessed Virgin Mary
and infant Jesus.
St Ia was reputedly the sister of the brothers SS Erca and Uny
